Amazon Basics Shagreen Hardcover Journal for Writing, Note Taking and Journaling with Elastic Band, 2-Pack

While searching for a new journal to replace my old one, I chanced upon the AmazonBasics Shagreen Journal twin pack. Despite not initially planning to purchase two journals, I took the plunge and ordered the pack. Upon receiving them, I was delighted to discover they are incredibly durable and appear crafted to endure frequent use. One of the journal's standout features is the thickness of its pages. They're thick enough to enable me to use both sides without any issues. Additionally, the rule is slightly wider than the college rule, which is perfect for my handwriting. I can use each line with ease, which isn't possible with college rules, which are too tight. Another great feature of this journal is its elastic closure. It's a classy feature that securely keeps the journal closed when it's not in use. The elastic is sturdy enough that it shouldn't stretch out and become useless over time. The cover finish is also impressive. It looks as though it can endure any coffee spills or table bumps without sustaining damage. It looks great and is aesthetically pleasing. The only thing I'd alter about this journal is how slippery the cover feels. It doesn't stick to my fingers, and I'd prefer a slightly more tactile cover. Overall, this excellent journal is much simpler to work with than the larger one I used to prefer. The AmazonBasics Shagreen Journal 2-Pack provides exceptional value for money and is highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable journal.

Very good price for two journals that were cheaper than some singular ones. Both are well made

I started using these for note-taking and journaling this year in 2026 and I've been happy with the product. The pages are of good quality the book is of good quality and I really enjoy them. I would likely look to order these again next year or once I use them up. I like the size of them as well. I feel like they are more professional than a spiral notebook.

Very good item, good quality, I just wish they wouldn’t have arrived with one being slightly wrinkled on the spine during the shipping. Overall, I would purchase them again.

I liked that there were different colors so easy to tell at a glance which one I need. Smaller than the previous ones I ordered but i like that. I am a stationery nerd so always on the lookout for something a little different (to me). Now I will look for the next size down.

The Shagreen journal compares well to journals I've spent much more money to buy. The paper is good quality and does not bleed through even when using fountain pen. The binding is solid and the cover attractive and strong enough. The small pocket inside the back cover is very useful for tickets, receipts, or reminders. I needed a journal large enough to write in easily and small enough to fit in the small sling bag I carry daily when traveling.

Best purchase made. Update: Had these since 2023 and the quality is still the same. No shedding, no discoloration, pages are still in tact. Sturdy material.

As described. Nice journals!

手ごろな値段で重厚感があって、ゲルインクボールペンによくなじみます。大変気に入りました。

Lived up to expectations!

Eccellenti taccuini, molte pagine e buona rilegatura.

Arrived in custom box and separated by tissue. A very high quality product. Both colours look good. Elastic closure and inbuilt marker ribbon add a touch of class. Good quality paper. Gives other market leading brands a run for the money. Highly recommended.
