Stunning press! Already love the band, but happy that the item was well packaged and arrived in good condition

"Crimson" is a great rock record. The songwriting is varied enough to keep it from being a monolithic sound blast, yet it rocks like a champ. The opener "Time to Waste" opens almost classically before Matt Skiba's electric guitar blasts and lyrics that sound in harmony with Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street , "I had time to kill; it's dead & buried; You've got guts to spill, but no one trustworthy." "The Poison" blares like beach music with a buzz, "How could a rooftop view in London look just the same as one in Brooklyn?" "Mercy Me" punches the vocals sounding almost like a punk Beach Boys, "Oh, mercy me, God bless catastrophe." "Deathbed" sears the speakers, "We've got the know-how & the elbow grease; We've got our victim all cut up down here on the floor." The set concludes with a strong track, "Smoke," that uses keyboards through its winding path, "Faith dear, enough to get you by until we're home." "Crimson" is an excellent disc. Its charm is evident to those who liked Good Mourning . Enjoy!

Crimson doesn't have a ton of standout tracks individually, but the thing that makes this album great is that when listened to it in it's entirety, it feels very complete. It's a very solid album with some great songs. Time to Waste, Poison, and Mercy Me are some that I thought were diverse and excellent. But this album is best listened from beginning to end I think.

These guys do very little wrong. I lived in Chicago and am very partial to the punk rock bands from that area. Even though I wouldn't categorize them as punk, they're very easy to listen to. Much rawkage!!

I must confess that I only bought this album so that I could be somewhat acquainted with Alkaline Trio before attending a My Chemical Romance concert where they would be playing. I fell in love with this band the instant I popped the cd in. The lyrics are very deep and the music is fantastic. I listened to the cd non stop until I had learned every word. It set a tone and a standard for a lot of my own writing. I haven't heard anything else that Alkaline has put out, but this album made me a fan. It's a must for anyone looking for some good gothic, melodic, easy rock music. Highly enjoyable.

this is the best Alkaline Trio album! If you haven't heard it, buy it, buy it NOW! You won't be disappointed

One of Alkaline Trios best albums.

90年代半ばから活動している３ピースバンド。ポップパンクといえばそうなのですが、西海岸を中心に幅をきかせているような、元気いっぱい、若さ漲るパンク勢とは一線を画していると思います。最大の特徴は、一聴して軽快で親しみやすいながら、どことなく陰を帯びたようなメロディでしょうか。一方でヴォーカルや歌詞には少し冷めた感じがあって、そのため、全体的にダークな雰囲気を漂よわせつつも重苦しくはありません。CDで聴く限り演奏技術にも安定感あり。 このアルバムでは、一曲目の「Time To Waste」に一番インパクトがありました。ピアノのソロからフェードインしてきて、次にベースとスネアのリズム、最後にギターが入ってくるイントロと、コーラスが印象的です。後にも結構いい曲がそろってると思います。２，４，６，11などが耳に残りました。難をいえば、特にバラエティに富んだ内容というのでもなく、傑出して強烈な印象を残す楽曲が多くないので、アルバムを通して聴くと多少単調に感じられるきらいはあります。統一感があるともいえますが、その辺がちょっと物足りないかもしれません。ただ、捨て曲というほどひどい曲はありませんでしたし、時間も40分強とそれほど長くないので、さらっと何度も聴けます。ですから、あまり退屈せずに楽しめるのではないでしょうか。 日本ではあまり知名度が高くないようですし、いつも聴いてるのとちょっと違ったものが聴きたいという方にもおすすめです。

Este cd marcó un cambio en el sonido de AK3 del que no se han recuperado... Se perdió la rabia del punk rock para llegar solo al rock, más limpio y menos visceral. Aún así este disco es mejor que los dos siguientes.

Great album by the Punk band Alkaline Trio

Da collezionista, segnalo che Amazon spedisce i vinili con più accortezza che i CD, che con i jewel case, sarebbero potuti essere soggetti a micro rotture, ma lo capisco, e infatti non segnalo mai ad Amazon la cosa perché è un problema comune a tutti i negozi non specializzati, per i vinili invece nulla da eccepire. Il packaging è a livello. Il disco? Sono fan del genere originale della band ma non posso non gradire l'evoluzione che la band, da questo disco in poi, ha preso. Forse è il mio loro preferito!
