## Description

ROBERTS 3085 Adhesive is ideal for installation of commercial and residential carpet, felt-back sheet vinyl and acoustical cork underlayment. It is formulated to bond with concrete, APA-rated plywood, terrazzo and properly prepared VCT. It offers a 2-year shelf life from date of production when stored in original unopened container, a 10-year limited adhesive bond warranty, and a lifetime warranty for installations performed by a Flooring Industry Association Certified Professional. Made in the USA, this is a low VOC, environmentally friendly formulation that is odorless when dry.

Review: fantastic adhesive just what I needed - 10/17/2025 When I received this I rushed to opened it. I had carpet panels on my house stairs some after years some of them became loose from the steps. it was unsightly! The lst draw was when I stumbled over one the step wear the carpet had really start to come loose. I grabbed a spatula, first wiping down the exposed wooden stair so the application of the adhesive would be smooth. I applied an even line( don't overdo it -or it will ooze . I patted the carpet down on the layers adhesive. No smell! 30 minutes later- whoa seamless. I enjoy do it yourself small task and this was great. So now that I know it works with little effort, I got some carpet panel upstairs that could use a "tender loving" care. The quart is great and the top seals pretty. I was comfortable with the price too!

**Q: Can I use this for Capet tufting backing glue?**
A: This adhesive is specifically warranted for use as a full spread adhesive to concrete or plywood substrate. However, this adhesive has been used with great success to craft tufted carpets.

**Q: Can I apply to back of rug that is peeling?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. No, 3085 is not recommended for this application technique. However, you may want to consider the ROBERTS 8 oz. Universal Carpet Seam Sealer, which is a solvent-free formula developed for seaming most types of carpet to prevent unraveling and delamination of the backing. It's suitable for the following backings: polypropylene, jute, urethane latex and unitary.

**Q: Will it stick linoleum to osb board? linoleum has soft i think polyurethane base.**
A: I used it to stick linoleum down to some glossy plastic feeling peel and stick tiles that were already on my closet floor.  I do recommend getting on of those rollers to smooth the flooring down, though.

**Q: Will this work to adhere felt back woven vynil to marine grade plywood on a pontoon floor?**
A: I used it to install EVA foam on my open 21 open bow with wood and fiberglass floor and it held pretty well

Quality of adhesive is quite good. The floor was ready to lay linoleum in 30 minutes after applying a thin layer of adhesive. Suggest if they give a plastic or wooden applicator with the adhesive can. With a can I covered 92 sq. feet. area.
