If you have high porosity like I do (I'm 4C) you may need protein every week. I shampoo twice weekly - 1 with protein conditioner, the other with moisture conditioner. Depending on how your hair feels after the protein treatment is rinsed out, feel free to follow-on with a moisture conditioner. It is totally up to you to do with your shower or not. My hair shampooing process is lengthy - I would hate to be naked and wet for so long. I shampoo, put the CD in, slap on a plastic cap, go about doing what I need to do.
