Could anyone possibly tell me the diameter of the bottom of the glass? (I’m looking for glassware that specifically fits into a flight paddle I own)

It is 1 1/2 inches at the base, and ~2 1/2 inches at the widest point. It’s a narrow tulip-shape, so it’s wider a little further up the glass.

Can they withhold heat temperatures

They are champagne glasses. I don't know why one would put hot liquids in them. There is a ton of other glassware for just that purpose (hot liquids).

do you have to wash them before first use?

I always wash all glasses when they are new.

Can these stemless champagne glasses be etched?

I imagine they could be etched. They are thick enough however they are slender so etching would also need to be delicate.
