"First book-length exposition of the denotational (or 'mathematical' or 'functional') approach to the formal semantics of programming languages (in contrast to 'operational' and 'axiomatic' approaches). Treats various kinds of languages, beginning with the pure-lambda-calculus and progressing through languages with states, commands, jumps, and assignments. This somewhat discursive account is a valuable compilation of results not otherwise available in a single source."- American Mathematical Monthly Review: good & fast delivery - been wanting to buy this book for a long time, and finally did. good & fast delivery. the book is well kept & clean. I love the content. Review: Classic derivative work - A piece of history to be sure: it's an accessible derivative of this classic work A Theory of Programming Language Semantics (2 Vol) (beware that's two volumes but several sellers are only offering the first). This was our class text in 1986, taught by none other than the author Joe Stoy.

Page 130 is missing (instead page 98 is shown again).
Chapter 7 (Reflexive Domains) is chock-full of proofs and definitions, and having a whole page missing makes it that much harder to follow. Not sure if it's a misprint specific to my copy or affects all instances of the book.
