Great for weighted push-ups
This weighted vest has been an excellent addition to my workouts. The design is incredibly practical, with 12 individual pockets that hold 4 lb weights, making it easy to adjust the total weight exactly how you want it. Whether you’re starting lighter and building up or loading it heavier for more intense sessions, the flexibility is a huge plus. Swapping weights in and out is simple and doesn’t feel like a chore. The vest fits securely without shifting around during movement, which makes it great for walking, bodyweight workouts, or conditioning sessions. It distributes the weight evenly and feels balanced rather than bulky. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the stitching and pockets hold the weights firmly in place. It’s comfortable enough for longer sessions but still provides that extra challenge you’re looking for. If you want a customizable, well-made weighted vest that can grow with your fitness level, this one absolutely delivers. Five stars without hesitation.

Update: Broke after 15 uses, but seller was responsive
UPDATE: As you can see from below description, a couple of the seams in the vest started to unravel with just 15 or so uses. However, I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement vest which seems to be holding up pretty well. As a result, I have updated my review to reflect: a responsive seller who stands by its product; a well-built and solid vest, with well-designed weight pockets that should last a long time. I can recommend this vest now. Aside from the initial quality control issues/problems I experienced, I think it's still the best weight vest I can find for a reasonable price. Original writeup is below; downgrade to one star due to the following: I used it only about 15 times and using only 30 lbs of the maximum 40 lbs capacity, and you can see from the attached pictures that the vest is already starting to fall apart. I've only used it for walking on my treadmill indoors, and you can see that it just doesn't seem to be very well made. I am writing the seller/manufacturer and will update this based on their response. If it's not favorable, my one star downgrade remains. Hopefully they'll do the right thing since I only bought it four months ago and it's received very light usage. In the mean time I DO NOT recommend it. OK, got that off my chest. I'll be 61 years old soon, hence, a senior citizen, AKA "an old man" as my daughters sometimes call me. I bought the vest to round out the equipment I have in my home gym. I wanted something I could adjust the weight on, and wear while working in my yard, around the house, or walking on my treadmill. Some say this chafes, but it really doesn't. Not if you wear a shirt. Of course it'll chafe if you wear it bare against your skin because it is solidly built, with very good seams, and heavy duty quality materials. The weights that came with it (I got the 40 pound vest) where all in the box, and they fit PERFECTLY into the various pockets for them. So this tells me two things: 1. The manufacturing tolerances for both the vest and the individual weight packs are precise, and demonstrative of good quality construction; and, 2. It's going to take a little bit of patience and care when you're putting the weights in. Taking them out is no problem. And putting them in is no problem either if you follow this advice: Start by putting the ones at the front and/or back bottom row in first while you're holding up the vest with one hand, or propped up against something; then move on to putting weights in the top row of the vest. This makes it so much easier and makes the job quick. It doesn't smell. But since I wear a cotton shirt underneath it while I'm working out, I think eventually some of the sweat may work it's way into the vest, at which point a light hand soaking/wash may be recommended. But this is normal for anything that comes into contact with the human body. It's a great buy and fits perfectly on my 5' 7", 145 pound frame.

Very nice vest, could use better shoulder padding.
This could use some additional padding in the shoulders. But at 30 pounds, the foam pads I added do not shift around as I walk. I might refine those pads. I look forward to 40 pounds when the Texas weather cools off in the winter! 30 # is a good workout.

80 and 100 pound comparison
I bought the 80-pound vest 2.5 years ago. I used it nearly every day for squats until my cat decided it would make a good litter box. I figure I got my money's worth out of it, and it was time for a better one anyway, so I ordered the 100-pound. I didn't order the 100-pound because I need that much weight. I got it because I wanted the steel weights instead of the sandbags that come with the 80-pound and lower weight vests. The 80-pound served me well. There was a tear in the shoulder strap similar to what another reviewer posted. I was okay with that because it was not going to come apart completely. Like I said, I used it nearly every day. My main complaint about the 80- was that the sand bags were so difficult to get in and out of the pockets that I never bothered to change the weight and just kept it about 65 pounds. You can see in the pictures how much bigger the sand bags are. The 80- vest is much larger than the 100+. The steel weights are very easy to get in and out of the pockets. The sand bags are all 3 pounds. The steel ones are 3 and 1.5 pounds. The 80- comes is one piece and has padded shoulders. It isn't adjustable and hangs at my waist and I'm 6'4". The 100+ comes in two pieces (pictured) and does not have pads in the shoulders. The 100+ is adjustable. I tried wearing it at the shortest setting but I couldn't reach the straps that go around you to secure it. I let it out maybe 3 inches front and back and now it sits a couple inches above my waist. The 100+ is a much snugger fit which is great. The 80- was too loose to do push-ups with but I can use the 100+ for that no problem. I definitely prefer my new 100-pound vest over the older one. Obviously the price jumps up quite a bit when you go from 80 to 100 pounds. When I bought the 80 I think the 100 was about double the price of the 80 but right now the 100 is only $150. I think that's a pretty good deal for a versatile, durable piece of equipment that I'll use every day. Even if you need less than 80 pounds the 100 pound vest better if you can handle the price. The main drawback for the 80- is how tight the weights fit in the pockets and the size. If you're a smaller person the 80-pound is going to be very large on you. I don't know if the lighter ones are just as big or not. They could be smaller and have fewer pockets. I suspect the 120 is exactly like the 100 because there are enough pockets to hold 46 three-pound weights. That would make the vest 138 pounds plus the weight of the vest which is probably about 5 pounds empty. So to truly be 150 pounds the vest would need 4 more pockets. Mine came with 103.5 pounds of weights-23 3-pound and 23 1.5-pound and there are 46 pockets but they will all take the 3-pound weights. I'd give the 80-pound 4 stars because of the tight pockets. The 100-pound costs more but the advantages are worth it. Now if I can just keep it out of the reach of my cat....

Perfect
It fits exactly how I hoped it would. It's snug, doesn't bounce or move around. Its exactly what I wanted. The weights are a pain to get into the pouches but once they're in, you're good. It's a tight fit so they won't come out. The phone pocket is small so don't expect your iPhone plus or any phone with a thick case to fit in there. I have a thin android with a thin cover and it still sticks out and is a squeeze to get in there. I got it on sale so the value was even better. The shoulders are comfortable and I wear it all day doing regular day to day tasks and to work.

Where were you all my life?
If you have gut/belly fat or are struggling with being overweight ... you need to add this product to your workout regimen ASAP!!!!! For years I'd heard and read things about weight vests and I'd be like "whatever." January 1st this year I set a goal (don't we all? LOL). And I was determined to keep it, or damn try. I'd fallen off the wagon and saw my weight climb. I'm 6'2" and weighed 220lbs at the time. I get the part where some say genetics makes for strange outcomes, like take for instance, our President, Trump, is an inch taller than I and weighs nearly 240lbs. And his doctors say he's a moving, gliding picture perfect figure of good health. Honestly, I need to get my hands on those genetically modified cheeseburgers he's gorging down, because that must be some real good stuff. But until I get them, I will stick with these adjustable weights and my Seun T's INSANITY cardio workout DVDs. In the beginning, I started with about 8 lbs of weight on the vest. Then I rapidly progressed it up to the full 20lbs over a course of 10 days. Now I noticed some reviews mention the vest moves around when running/moving. This is relatively true -- depending on how big or small you are. And I did experience this sometimes, more so when I do not strap it on tightly enough. But I have gotten round this with the help of my neoprene sauna vest, with frontal zippers. I simply put it over the CAP vest and zip up. Because the material is neoprene, it's built in elastic nature helps keep the CAP wear more firmly in place. And as one reviewer pointed out, slotting in the sand bag weights are a work unto themselves. Not that they are difficult to place in, but rather, there are a lot of bags to be put in their pockets/slots. Now typically, when I'm doing cardio without the weighted vest it takes me about 3 minutes to feel winded and 8 minutes to work up a sweat. With these killer weighted vest on I'm gasping by the 60 second mark! And sweating under 3 minutes. Another thing I like about this particular vest is that the front portion does not (I'm 6ft 2 inches mind you) hang down at or below my belly button. This makes it easier to do maneuvers that require bending or squatting. Is there any drawbacks I've experienced? Well it depends on how you see it. I noticed if I work out longer than 40 minutes doing crazy plyometric movements from jumping jacks, to burpees I experience soreness around the lower neck/shoulder areas. This can be viewed from two angles: 1) Soreness is due to muscle tensing against the load -- which would happen to in cases of doing say ... dumbbell lifts or long ab crunches. Which you give yourself a few days to recover. or 2) The soreness arises due to a lack of shoulder padding on the vests. or maybe it's a combination of both. For now I will avoid using it everyday until I find a good thick foam that I can put under the vest's shoulder sleeve. Overall, this has been one of the best -- if not the best addition to my workout accessories. Hope you found this review helpful.

Will break after a couple or few workouts depending on intensity.
So I have had this vest for a while now and I can say there’s some good and some bad with this vest. To start with the good, I like the weight pouches. They felt durable and I liked the weights were removable. I got the 50 lb vest and I weigh 145 pounds and 5ft 5 inches. Walks around the park wearing the vest is okay. The shoulders grew tired after a while but it wasn’t too bad. The problems arose when I started incorporating the vest into my daily workout. My daily workout was doing some push ups, squats and a plank. I only had the chance to wear the vest for two days before coming across major issues. The first issue is it’s not a tight fit causing a lil extra difficulty when in a push up position. I’m not a fan of the vest touching against the ground when I’m at the down position of the push up only because the vest will slouch to the ground. The second issue is trying to do squats with the vest. The vest is just way too bulky, and the adjustable straps were difficult to not cause problems being in a bad place on the vest. The third issue and this is why I’m no longer gonna use the vest is the adjustable straps that go around the waist suck. Sorry I’m not able to place a nicer word but they do. And it makes it worse that the specific strap can’t just be replaced or fixed. Between the pushups and squats which I only do one set of each in my workouts, after two workouts the Velcro rings are clearly tearing through the strap and if I did another workout probably will rip completely. In my opinion a weighted vest should be able to handle basic calisthenic movement like basic pushups and squats. It was nice to have it for walks but that’s about the only advantage. It’s tough to hit my super saiyan form like goku when the only weigh I can use my weighted vest is just for a walk. I should say I have tried jogging with this on and omg was it uncomfortable with how it would bounce on my shoulders. Personally I would not recommend this to anyone, for its lack of comfort, not being true to one size fits all, poor material causing lack of functionality, and lack of being able to properly adjust.

Well made gear!
I have been using this gear for a month now; every other day. LIKES: It is well made and designed for the type of workouts that I do. Although it is supposedly intended or, designed for a woman, it fits comfortably well on a man. It feels very comfortably while doing the stair-master and, it is not too bad while doing interval training on the Treadmill. The weights are well made and fit just great in their individual pockets. As well, 30 lbs are more than enough weight for this vest and/or, any workout; it also has room available to add more weight if needed. DISLIKES: Not as much as a dislike but, as a point to improve. It could use a small holder/pocket on either side of the shoulder strap, to hold a small MP3, iPod or Cell phone in case the individual wants to listen to music during the workout/walk. I definitely like and recommend!
