The pattern is true to size. However, this is not a typical US pattern with large pictures and accompanying step by step instructions. The Australian "Construction" instructions are written in a separate box. Large pictures of the individual pattern pieces are shown separately but there are no illustrations to show you how to sew pieces together, as in US patterns. You would need basic sewing skills to understand sewing instructions such as what is meant by "...sew a large stitch to the head of the sleeve and slightly ease in." But, having said that, the garment comes together easily. If you feel the instructions are not easy to follow get a sewing book from the library to better understand techniques and language. Power Sewing by Sandra Betzina is a good book to read for basic info.Addendum: Have now made the tunic. Wonderful pattern.
