(i.e. use 2 for 16 outs total)** A: Technically, yes. but the software driver that operates it only allow 4 stereo or 8 mono outputs. **Q: is it supported under linux?** A: Yes the drivers are downloadable **Q: Is it asio compatible? what port are the output channels (rca, 3.5 mm sockets, etc.)?** A: It is ASIO compatible. The outputs are the RCA connectors on the back. There are 8, giving you 4 stereo channels. My wife uses it for DJ/Karaoke with a laptop, and uses it to separate all of the different software outputs (karaoke program, "2 deck" DJ program, and any 4th audio stream) into 4 separate channels on her mixer, never having to mess with the software volume controls on any of the applications. I've been looking for an audio interface that is small, light weight (for travel), and still have up to 8 output channels. My current interface is a focusrite clarett 8pre and is super heavy to carry through airports etc... So this fulfills all my needs perfectly and is easy setup (plug and play) no extra software needed I bought the 8 channel Rosa RCA to 1/4" snake and boom it rocks! It does not have any inputs so if your goal is to record or run an extra instrument through you won't be able to. Last thing, I love the simplicity of it - there are 8 lights on the front of it that represent each channel and they light up when there is signal coming to their respective channel which makes setup and/or troubleshooting much easier. If you need multiple outputs and NO INPUTS this is the perfect product. I am a Keyboard player and I use it for live shows; i send the keyboards, drum machines, click track, seqeuence tracks... all out of the same source! It's like this box was made for me! I've toured with this baby all over and it has never let me down. Yes, the sample rate is "only 44k/16bit" but that's mastered cd quality people come on what else do you want! This product is made for live performers (DJ's, keyboard players, electronic musicians) and it is PERFECT.I see it is not a very popular product so i am getting one or two more of these just in case they stop making them.
