I'm kind of handy when it comes to wiring and things, having wired a car radio and run a backup camera on my vehicle, but the schematic on this thing was confusing and the word's weren't helpful. The only thing that makes any sense is the recommendation to take it to a professional installer, but I'm pretty sure they would look at it and laugh. It looks like they want it hooked to the coil, but I'm not sure. Then it sort of looks like they want it hooked to the ignition switch, but I'm not sure. I do see a red and black wire that definitely would be your 12v power and ground, but beyond that, its just a guess.
