You would have to then manage the device locally using only its internal web configuration pages. The ezOutlet would still send ping tests to the Internet and reboot when the service is lost unless you also disable this feature (Manual Control). You can also disable its NTP function and manually set the system time. **Q: Will this reset if the router completely locks up and stops responding to LAN traffic?** A: The default settings monitor for access to the Internet and then power cycle the attached device when the Internet is no longer reachable. It's fairly easy to use and has wifi AND eternity support at the same time so I can monitor both the router and the modem and reset them either both or independently. It is only meant for smaller loads, it will take wall warts but nothing with a 3nprong plug that draws a lot of current. The wires are too small to carry much current. It's perfect for low power devices. It's not going to switch on and off fans or anything like that. It's easy to use either through the app or the built in web server. It's well built and looks like it will last. The only thing that isn't mentioned in the description is that if you want notifications or logs, you have to pay $60 a year for it. Way too much for something like this. I can make do with the free version but the description infers that the full cloud service is free.
