Glad to see that Rani Mukherjee is back and with a movie which works around 'Tourette's syndrome' yet doesn't quite dig deeper into it. The opening was very promising and I was looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds after the emotion packed sequence. It does initially show the struggles of the sufferer and how she copes with her condition but I can't help but wonder that somehow the story changes and greatly relies on other aspects; unruly students from poor backgrounds not being given the chance or even equal opportunities based on where they come from as opposed to her struggle with a neurological disorder. As a result, the students are suffering due to lack of engagement and they need someone to build that trust between the system and it's subjects and this is where Naina comes and into play as 'hope'.This does become a social, educational and discrimination issue rather than tackling the story of the syndrome itself and maybe this is what was intended to be shown; the contrasting two problems - one of a disorder of which there is no awareness, is frowned upon and makes for an easy target to mock rather than empathise with and the other of society's malfunction which we clearly see but turn a blind eye to - both issues are treated equally and we don't actually get a positive result in either situation, hence a collapse of society. I did feel in some places they over-dramatized situations but it is forgivable after watching what is to follow. What I took away from it is that Naina has had a difficult childhood due to her medical condition and she wants to bring change by helping her students who are struggling to fit in and are failing in their academic life. There is a lack of trust from the establishment and Naina builds a trusting relationship with her students and brings out their confidence. She was given a chance by her school's principle as a student herself who has a medical condition and that is all she needed to progress in life and now wants to do the same for other people, hence why she wants to become that 'one' teacher who believes in you. We all need a good teacher in life and as Naina says, "There are no bad students... only bad teachers" which rings somewhat true. We all need just need some kind of guiding light and there are very few people in this world who have the vision to acknowledge that and become that positive guiding light for those who are desperately in need. What I liked most is the sudden laughter splurge provided to us by the kid character played by Vikrant Soni, especially when he is standing looking very sad in the balcony and when asked he responds with a crying face, ' I can't believe it.... I have passed'.On the whole it is a very gripping and compelling tale. It highlights and works on socio-economic issues as well as emotional well being. There was laughter and there were tears too and not to forget, the characters demonstrated good acting skills and had this great chemistry going on the whole time. Rani Mukherjee was good with her impersonation of a Tourette's sufferer and I don't think anyone else could have done the stammer and chin thumping better than her because thinking about it, it's a difficult thing to do and keep track of while you're delivering dialogues and acting all at the same time! All in all a good watch and a movie worthy of your time and you also take away a good positive message from it.

Must see, if you like motivational movie.

Exceptional movie. So inspiring, sweet and hard at the same time.I don't like watching movies in languages I don't understand, but I tried this one. It is so well made, and easy to follow with subtitles. So many messages, about social class, discrimination, about tourette, selfl-belief, self-steem, feelings, relationships with others, challenges vs opportunities, love, trust, and also about the hard side of life.Really motivates. Belief in yourself. Your thoughts influence your future. And the passion for teaching.I highly recommend this movie.
