I keep thinking one day there will be something that will give me lush lips with no injections. I've tried lip plumpers of varying prices, brands...they all do the same thing -- nothing. I decided to try this one after seeing a video from a site/blog I, ahem, thought I trusted for truthful reviews. Her lips do appear to get plumper over the course of the video. Slightly, not crazy big. So I thought, ok I'll give it a whirl. Yes, it tingles. It FEELS like something is happening, so something MUST be happening, right??? I used this twice a day for several days as directed on the label. Other than the tingle, this also temporarily darkens/reddens your lips and the immediate surrounding skin of your lip line. And this is where I am convinced you are lured into believing some plumping has occurred. Since the reddening extends past your lip line it can appear that your lips have indeed plumped up. Much the way your lips appear larger if you overdraw them with liner. But if you really look (and boy, I did), you can see that the actual volume of your lips has not changed. Once the reddening subsides, which is pretty short term anyway, you can really tell that your lips are indeed the same dang size they were before.
