I am comparing it to DMC Petra, Aunt Lydia's, and Lizbeth Cordonet:The thread size is right on with the other brands and the color is good. I like the size of the ball. It does feel a bit rougher on my fingers than the others and it tends to twist more. I had a pretty good knot at one point, which I haven't gotten with the other brands so far, though the Lizbeth does get pretty twisted, too.When I was finishing a piece, a nearby segment was not braided properly and very bulky! If it had been within the piece, I'd have had to cut it out and start over. Maybe just a random defect? I hope so.If I were to rank the above brands, I prefer DMC Petra with the Lizbeth second. However, the Lizbeth is slightly thicker and some of my bead pores won't go on it. I think the ThreadArt and Aunt Lydia's are tied for third.Since your usage may be different, I thought I'd point out what I found for my purposes. More problematic, however, is that the thread splits easily while I am crocheting. Lastly, very early onto my project, a knot appeared in the fresh thread that I could not remove. The thread tore while I was trying to untangle the knot--that part of the work has to be redone from the beginning.
