Our new favorite healthy chocolate

Beyond Better? Not really.
This chocolate was well packed and insulated. I had hoped it would be as delicious as described but the flavor of the 70% was too bitter for my taste. My husband didn't like the taste either, which was surprising because he prefers 85% cocoa chocolate, normally. Upon further inspection, I realized our normal chocolate brands have slightly more sugar and cocoa butter per gram AND the Beyond Good brand has THREE TIMES more SODIUM per gram than the brands we usually buy. Needless to say, I suggest reading the label (more carefully than I did) to make sure you know what you're getting.

Blood.
Have you ever bitten your lip really hard and tasted the blood? Ok, imagine paying $4 to do that and you’ve got this bar. So maybe just save the $4 and slam your face into a pole. God awful “chocolate” that legitimately tastes like a nose bleed.

Not Wonderful
It has a mediocre flavor with a gritty texture, although there were pleasant fruit notes there. I was very disappointed.

Delicious dark chocolate
I got dark chocolate as it is supposed to be higher in iron. I try to give myself a treat of just one piece a day. It has a nice melting quality, and doesn’t taste bitter and grainy like some American chocolate. I also like the organic and fair trade qualities, and am happy to pay a bit more for it.
