Yes it is shakey when you are spinning so I highly recommend stabilizing with wood. And for the love of God do not loose that 1/4 inch bearing in the bottom when you are cleaning it. I have read some people stating that bearing is never mentioned and they should correct the manual, but it is in the care section of the manual. My surprise was the customer service. i bought mine in July of last year. Last week the handle broke, I called, they answered promptly, the rep was very friendly, I told her what happened, she asked from my amazon order number, verified shipping, and name and my handle will be mailed out Monday. No fuss, no muss. LOVE IT!!!!!! I rarely right reviews, but really felt I needed to write this. Is it the best extractor in the world, no, but for someone that runs 4 hives, running 12, 8 Frame supers (96 Frames total) and extracts 3 times a year (288 frames) it is well worth the $249 we paid.
