My favorite Charge Controller
Not like I've tried a ton of charge controllers, but I've probably messed with about 6 or 7. I plugged this guy in and the lil fans started whirring, and i hoped they wouldn't do that constantly, but I think that was just a wake up thing. I doubt I'll juice this enough for them to come back on. It doesn't warm up with about 300W from solar coming in at least. The clear cover is actually kind cool, wish more products were like that, why not. The screen shows all of the monitoring details i need to know and makes sense. It also doesn't lag, I've seen some that lag when touch a button for like a second or 2. Every time I'm like, I KNOW the sun is on the panel. Then it changes.... It comes with a really long temperature sensor you plug into the bottom left. The cord is like 30 ft. long (or so). Don't really know why that's needed, but whatever. I don't think i can change it from Celsius, which is a bummer. The LEAST of my worries. So far it seems really efficient and powerful. My fav Charge Controller! I'll try and update if anything changes during use.

Stopped working on the 2nd day, forced to return
The Display and features of the mppt are very limited. No app support and only 4 buttons for a small display that cycles through displaying the voltages every 5 seconds. Shut off after the first night and never turned back on. Go with a Victron controller instead.

Zero info, zero support
The so called manual is useless and there is zero support available. I'm probably gonna regret this purchase.

Great price and specs IF it lasts....
Getting this charge controller is a bit of an experiment for me. This new generation of chinese charge controllers is a lot cheaper than the US and Australian-made ones I've used in the past. Those have tended to have very long life, while the chinese no-name brands, which - let's face it - this is currently an example of - have earned no such reputation I'm aware of. Thus, it's a bit of a gamble. For this particular model, a fair bit of effort has evidently gone into make it look sexy. I'm afraid that's lost on me since function is what I'm after, but the display is large and readable, and the innards seem fairly robust to look at. Whether it will actually handle 60A I'll have to discover: one of the bugaboos of unknown-name chinese electronics is wildly inflated specs. That may not be true of this product, but it is ubiquitous with Chinese electronics competing with more established brands on price. The connecting screws are somewhat less robust than my other 60A controller, Australian-made, which indicates it's designed for perhaps lighter-gauge wire... which would be consistent with the device having inflated specs. But we'll have to see.It will take me awhile to build a solar PV system around this, and I'll update this review as I use this device. All I can give so far is the caveats mentioned, say that it looks pretty, and hope that it lives up to its billing. So 4 stars for now, but that could change a bit, or radically, depending on how well it performs going forward...
