Blender has so many features that the interface looks complex for new users, even after the release of 3.0. This book takes the mystery out of how to get started and has excellent explanations. Disclaimer: I have not finished the book nor was I looking for typos. This is a project-oriented and productivity review. I bought it to answer a question, which it did, and kept reading it in my spare time to enjoy it and learn new features. The book has thicker paper and a great feel for people who like the feel of a good book. The pages are matte rather than a glossy finish, so no glare. We have family members with low vision, and this book is easy to read and enjoy. Best of all, when our dog knocks it off of the table, the corners and edges stay intact and it looks great. It is beginner's book. It also has great information for intermediate users who know the tool, but use Blender less frequently and need a refresher on where to find the good stuff. It also explains some alternate ways to accomplish tasks, which I enjoyed. Haven't had time to use Blender in years, but when I do, I am on a tight deadline. With this book, I was able to adapt a 3D model and orient it for a VR learning simulation in less than ten minutes. I need answers fast and strong productivity tools. It is a great book!
