At the time, they were about $80.00 and I didn't want to spend that much. Now some of them are almost twice that, but I was able to get this one for just under $100. It seems to work, I mean, you charge it (which does take a long time), put your items in, zip it closed, then press the button on top. That button changes from blinking green (when it's charging) to solid blue (while it's working). You can see from the little window that the lights are on inside the bag and after about 5 minutes, it gives a series of beeps to let you know it's done. The inside of the bag is warm and the lights are hot, so be careful not to brush your hand against them when removing your items. My big question is, how do we know it's actually sterilizing? What if it's just a metallic bag with regular lights inside that don't really do anything? It doesn't turn my transitions lenses dark, but I think maybe only UVA does that. Does anyone know how an average consumer can test this item? There is a test report included in the box, but it's VERY small type and a lot of it is in Chinese, so I can't decipher it. I guess I have to assume it's a decent product if Amazon is selling it themselves, and not a third-party seller. I'll just keep using it for my glasses, face masks, phone, keys, and CPAP mask.
