I just dump it in straight, without measuring. (The oats have enough sweetness on their own that no sweetener is needed.)Flavor-wise, this was quite similar to the Korintje Cinnamon in the massive jar from Whole Foods (or to McCormick cinnamon, etc.). The packaging does not specify whether this is Cassia, Korintje or Ceylon cinnamon, but it tastes more like the Cassia or Korintje. (Korintje cinnamon from Indonesia is the most well-known form in the US and has a stronger flavor than Ceylon cinnamon.) If you are buying this for baking, adding to cereals, etc., this product here at this listing will suit you just fine and will be familiar if you have an American palate.If you are taking cinnamon for health reasons, however, the type of cinnamon represented by this product listing is likely to be higher in coumarin than Ceylon cinnamon and you may want to switch to Ceylon cinnamon instead.Also of note: although this tasted like other mass market cinnamons I've tried, the fragrance was noticeably stronger with this product. I could smell it from quite a bit farther away. So if you really like the cinnamon smell, this product could definitely work for you!Please note there appears to be a discrepancy in the product description (probably a cut-and-paste error), because it talks about turmeric. The bag is resealable and the spice is one that has many uses. This comes from India. This bag is a good value and a great way to support organic agriculture. The cinnamon smells and tastes great. One weakness with this package is that it does not identify which variety of cinnamon this is. Since it is fairly inexpensive I would guess it is Cassia and not Ceylon cinnamon, but whichever it is should be stated on the package.
