In Arima Kousei's case, he gets quite the push from the other main character of the manga, Kaori Miyazono. As a 28 year old male, I'm not afraid to say that reading this brought tears to my eyes several times. I'm not one for reviews usually since I'm awful at writing them but this really deserves as many people reading it as possible. Even then, if you're not a manga reader, or you just want to hear the beautiful music of the manga, there is an anime adaptation that is now complete. The anime adapts the manga very faithfully and covers the entirety of the manga, covering the whole thing. While I adored the manga, the anime may be somewhat better as it brings the characters to life with animation, voices and the music. So even if you don't buy this, please try the anime.
