I like the book, you can find a Great inspiration... The book is print 2011.. It’s not modern anymore...

Very comprehensive and a wide range of designs to choose from but mostly modern

I ordered this book for our library knowing that people always like to browse new decorating and design books. I just looked through it as it is going through processing and to me, it is frustratingly lacking in any ideas other than stark, harsh, empty and bland. Page after page of "does anyone actually live here?" sterility quickly got monotonous. I realize that design books aren't going to include the endless clutter that occupies most homes, but some of these are ridiculous. I suppose it could inspire someone, but the spaces are unrealistically cavernous for most people to be able to use. I thought the title word "Ideas" would mean there was more than different permutations of just the one. Alas, I was wrong...

As a book to try and understand anything about kitchen design this has less than 0 stars. As a book to laugh your ass off while you see rich people making just the dumbest decisions about how a kitchen should look hell yeah! 5 stars for providing an incredibly entertaining 30 min of just marveling at the ridiculous.

Was very disappointed with this book. Bought to get ideas on renovating kitchen and saw absolutely nothing

hmm, beautiful pictures, but not a lot of variety of looks. I also, had hoped that a description of flooring, lighting, counters, and cabinets would have been included on some of the kitchens i was drawn to. The author did include wood type in some instances, but to be helpful to me, i would have liked to have seen stain color also. The photos and kitchens were gorgeous. But they were all extremely high end.

Disappointed. I had hoped for more illustrations as well as written guidance. Did not find the content very useful either. Best and New??? No...
