Like I mentioned, I mostly use them for foundation, but also for moisturizer when traveling. I used them for my Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation (very watery) as well as my Shiseido radiant lifting foundation (thicker, almost creamy). Both foundations will move around, stick to the top of the cap, and get around the edges of the container, but that's to be expected when the container is being tossed around in an overstuffed bag. Thicker products (e.g. moisturizers) were fine and mostly stayed in place.The hinge has yet to break for any of the containers I use regularly (opening/closing at least once a day, for several months). Taken them on the airplane, but never have had a problem with them popping open like other reviewers have... Might just be a hit and miss sort of thing?FYI I also bought small, clear, plastic screw top containers for the same purpose, but those started to crack/break after a few weeks of use... Probably because they're cheap containers, but I think also because tightening the cap each time after opening begins to weaken and almost "stretch" the cap out.To summarize:PROS: Cheap, durable, ideal sizeCONS: Can get messy (you can see what I mean by my photo)I don't know of any container that won't have the same "messy" issue when it comes to liquid foundation...
