Pretty, bright colors. *by O***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2017* I purchased this palette with relatively low-ish expectations as far as quality and color payoff. It isn't that obvious in the photo, but I used Milani's eyeshadow primer on the upper half of my arm running all the way across the different shadows. So the lower portion of the arm/swatches has no primer. I highly recommended wearing a primer underneath the shadows because it definitely helps the colors pop as well as makes a huge difference in how long they last. Shadows 9 and 24 actually stained my fingers/arm a little. I haven't worn those two on my eyes yet, but the stain wasn't so bad that I won't still try them out. These swatches are not a single pass with my finger, I had to layer a bit to get them as they are. They blend out decently on the eye with brushes and don't have a lot of messy fallout. The nudes on this palette are not great quality, but if you already have some matte nude shadows you like, these aren't anything you wouldn't already have. Overall, these aren't going to compete with high end brands or even good drugstore shadows (I love NYX), but the bright colors are fun and with a little extra blending I personally think it's worth the price paid. I've determined through trial, error and google, that it's due to the red dye (or carmine) that's typically used. I'm ecstatic that BH Cosmetics offers a wide range of fun colors without the use of this ingredient! I can finally wear plums and pinks with no adverse reaction! I love that these are matte and I can use some shades as highlighter and contour. But I should have bought from the website. Might have been packaged well and not arrived broken. The broken plastic pieces werent even in the box. Sad.
