The BHPA pilots manual is a more current work, and if it's the only traning manual you're going to buy, you should buy that, but Pagen's book complements it quite well offering the occasional useful bit of detail that the BHPA book misses. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A complete and well written guide to hang gliding ! *by P***H on Reviewed in the United States on 9 January 2010* Hi there,I bought this guide since the issues in German were outdated and are not actualized anymore due to the Paragliding hype of the last years. Dannis Pagen has come up with the most complete and elaborate guide to hang gliding for beginners, with many clear hand drawn images and expert advice on many (seemingly) smaller things (for example how to set up the glider, providing a pre-checklist....).
