A Helpful Guide to Mentoring Relationships "Melissa Kruger helps both the mentor and the mentee know where to start, what to cover, and how to make it work so that the mentoring relationship is a source of joy and growth for everyone involved.โ โ Nancy Guthrie , Bible teacher; author, Even Better than Eden: Nine Ways the Bibleโs Story Changes Everything about Your Story We need one another. Yet we donโt always know how to develop relationships that help us grow in the Christian life. Spiritual mentoring offers a way for younger believers and more mature Christians to grow together through intentional discipleship and accountability. If youโre looking for a place to start, Melissa Kruger presents a guide for discipleship conversations that span a variety of topics for spiritual growth. Each lesson encourages both mentor and mentee to focus on the hope of the gospel as they learn together from the truth of Godโs word. Published in partnership with the Gospel Coalition. Includes 11 lessons that women can use in a variety of schedules and life stages Each chapter teaches what the Bible says about the topic, explores why we struggle to follow Godโs teaching, and considers how we should live in light of the truth Features activities and questions for before, during, and after the sessions Concludes with an appendix with further reading on each topic outlined in the lessons Review: Not your average โwomenโsโ book - Iโve read several books intended for women, as well as books on discipleship, and none are as practical, relatable, and theologically robust as this one. Very thoughtfully written with challenging concepts brought down to earth. Iโm pleased with my investment of time and energy to read and annotate through Growing Together. I plan to use it with an mentee in the future. Also, the cover art is lovely in every way. Thank you for the whole team who crafted this book to bless and guide the Church, especially Melissa. Review: Highly Recommend for Small Groups - My discipleship group at church is using this book for our Bible study. Although this book was designed for a mature Christian woman mentoring a younger Christian woman, we are able to enjoy it as a group of four women that are all around the same age and stage in our spiritual walk. There are many scripture references in each chapter, and the entire book is scripture-based and not the 'self-help' style that is so popular nowadays where there is very little that draws from scripture. We have been choosing one to use as a memory verse each week. The book is very insightful; the author presents gospel truths well. The questions at the end of the chapter are just right for a small group, helping us get to know each other better while encouraging us to address things in our spiritual walk that need attention. I have underlined and circled something on pretty much every page. Highly recommend this book for small groups.

I said I'd mentor; now what?
This book helped me get to know another woman I was mentoring. It asked good questions to get us thinking about who we are and who we want to be before God and others. Both of us thought it was helpful to go deeper in our relationship, touching topic we would probably not have discussed.

Lots of ideas
If you are looking to disciple/mentor someone, this can be a good place to start. This book will give lots of ideas on how to begin a mentoring relationship and what those meeting times can look like, topics to be sure to cover, etc. This is a good starting place if you're unsure where to begin.

Decent
A fair mentoring book, but I do prefer Susan Huntโs Spiritual Mothering: The Titus 2 Model for Women Mentoring Women.
