Yes, there are apps for grammar corrections. They too can deliver flaws. More importantly, I wanted to know why the corrections were needed. If my writing has numerous flaws then I suppose my speech would need refined as well. I had forgotten so many rules pertaining to grammar; verb tenses, pronoun usage to show possession, direct object, indirect object etc. The workbook starts out simple with common noun and verb agreement. For each of the grammar rules covered, there will be an explanatory page consisting of; the rule, example sentences, many have helpful charts, and then exercises to practice the grammar rule at hand. Answer key is in the back of the book. Currently, I am on Exercise 46 in the workbook. So far, all has been explained thoroughly most of which jarred my memory from many years past. A few lessons I have no prior recollection of learning but was able to become knowledgeable of the rules. Print is black with a variation of bold and normal print. Standard size font is easy to read. The answer key is smaller print but easy to navigate with each section being labeled with exercise # This workbook has proven to be beneficial to me and my writing. It’s not perfected at this point, but it is a work in progress. I’ve included some pics of helpful and useful features in this workbook. Every child has their own way of learning, which is why I have chosen to home school my child. My son is 14 years old and I have been using this Grammar Workbook to compliment his studies. What I love about this workbook is: - The lessons build up on one another making the learning process smooth and fluid - The lessons are easy for my son to comprehend and the information is retained at a higher rate than just reading alone. - The lessons are have pertinent information for a child his age and breaks down the concepts in a way that makes learning a breeze. Grammar Workbook gives a simple yet fundamental grammar lesson with each exercise and builds upon itself. The clear format also gives a table of contents that will direct student & teacher to each concept, quickly, for reference. Grammar Workbook includes lessons on 60 grammar fundamentals and utilizes 86 exercises (answer key included in back) for practice. The writers created this as an easy to understand format that I will be using for my upcoming 6th grader (since I already have grammar covered for this year). I think you could safely use this workbook as a grammar foundation for your 5-8th grader or even as a basic review for high school students as well.
