Wolo (HWK-1) Air Horn Wiring Kit with Horn Button Switch

Makes installation a lot easier. Simplifies everything installing aftermarket airhorns.

I'm reading the comments and some complain about the switch being sub par. I disagree actually. I think it works quite well. I own a 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor and the police department removes all their equipment before they release these cars to the public. And when I purchased my car,the horn circuit was disconnected. I tried to fix the problem and searching the internet for a solution and it seemed that in my particular car,the horn circuit ended up in a wiring harness that was completely cut. So I purchased this kit and hooked up the horn button to my dash just left of the steering wheel. I actually like this switch better than the usual place on the wheel because you really don't have to press hard at all. And the wiring couldn't be easier. The wiring to the switch is actually a negative ground so just hook the switch to any ground. Then I replaced the stock horn to Wolo's Air Horn I found at Harbor Freight that came with a relay then hooking everything else up was easier then checking your oil. I've had this a little while now and it hasn't given me any problems and after months of dealing with no horn I finally have one. This was a great purchase. I can't be more happy.

Based on the criteria it gives your to review, it’s worth 4/5 start. Only thing is, I have a 2015 f150 and the wires that this kit comes with aren’t long enough to get the switch comfortably into the compartment so I had to mount it kinda low. See the photos for positioning. I suggest you get some longer wires, a crimping set and some different prongs for the end of your wires. These prongs are super hard to crimp and didn’t hold the wire tight enough, and the one the provide doesn’t fit into the battery terminal so I had open it up. One last thing, The bottom is huge and ugly. It’s got this tacky chrome surrounding it and sticks out like a sore thumb.

My 2003 Ford e350’s horn went out, bought a wolo horn from autozone, horn didn’t work, well long story short order this kit and just bypassed everything. Tried to make all the wiring nice and neat as possible. Horn works we’ll button works well no problems. A bit intimidating if your not so sure what to do. I just hooked everything up first and then did a test before I ran everything through and around the firewall. One thing don’t forget to buy the relay, I didn’t realize this and ran to autozone to get one luckily they had one left for 7.50 so I’m happy now.

Purchased with the Stebel horn and it made the install easy. Instructions pretty simple if you take the time to read slow.

I used this on a Dixie horn and it worked great. I wasn't going to use the button but realized it is good quality if you can mount it out of site as it doesn't look good for surface mount. Harness is a no brainer for the cost.

Pretty simple install. Good instructions. Did not come with the relay & it is needed. Fuse holder janked up so I used a different type.
