Essentially I'm wondering if the eraser untwists back into the pencil when you erase.** A: As another replied, it twists back down... quickly IMO. However, don't let that prevent you from buying the pencil set. I've used other mechanical pencils (I'm selective) and this pencil is superior... it writes very smoothly, colorful and comfortable. I'm a repeat buyer and better priced than what I'd get in store. I love the lead size (not so common), you get extra leads & erasers AND if you're a test taker, it's #2 !
