I gave it a shot and am glad I did. It worked just fine. Didn't need any additional packages installed and if you've used a normal PiCamera then this will be pretty much the same. There are a couple downsides but nothing I didn't you wouldn't be able to see before ordering. The board of the camera is basically moved down to the bottom near the ribbon port. It's not very flexible down near the bottom. There's not really a way to attach the camera to anything like mounting holes. Tape seems like the safest way to put it anywhere.
