Review: Must have attachment - Love this device. It is much wider than the floor tool that came with the Dyson so you can cover ground more quickly. The brushes do a much better job of picking up lots of stuff on the floor. I have several areas where the flooring transitions into a different room and their is a strip to connect those two floorings. I always had a hard time with small particles hanging around the edges and the regular tool didn't do a good job of picking them up. This one does. It seems to hug the floor tighter. I can switch it between my regular Dyson canister and the Dyson rechargeable. Only complaint is that when I am finished vacuuming, I need to take the tool off and vacuum off the accumulated cat hair that has stuck to the brushes. Minor inconvenience as it obviously did a good job of picking up the hair.

Had prev. watched a video about this tool, but was not sure it would fit my Dyson V8 Animal. With the red and yellow adapter, it DOES fit. The adapter that came with this articulating floor tool does not fit the V8; it does fit the V6. Amazon does sell the red and yellow adapter. An amazing tool; gets into small areas easily. LOVE it.
