Unlike plastic face shield, in windy set up as outdoor vaccinating, it does not bend or crimp. Easily usable in surgery, altho might interfere with headlights or loops. but terrific protection against body fluids splashing on face (blood, spit, urine. Many colleagues in vaccinations site want one and referred to this site. I was surprised pleasantly that it arrived late Dec '20 instead of projected late Jan'21.I received 2 masks instead of one and initially planned on returning the other, but I shall give it to a surgeon friend next mission, as it can be used in the Operating room. Fits snugly on forehead and around cheekbone, but some space contoured around cheeks and under chin. Does not cover the whole head only the forehead, cheeks & under chin and partially covers the cheekbones with some free space. Can also be worn as goggles only which fits over my eyeglasses (a plus for me). It has a strong rubber smell; hopefully it will go away before time to wear it. Mine didn't have any protective film to peel off of it (so I cleaned it before wearing it). But its clear. It is a bit awkward, bulky and heavy for me but I think doable for a short time period when needed. I think that its good that you can attach and detach the lower piece from the goggles.I will probably wear them attached, but the lower piece (that covers the nose and mouth) has holes by the nose/mouth area - obviously for ventilation purposes - so that is not good to rely on this for any kind of protection against germs or any virus. So to compensate for the holes made into the shield, I will definitely be wearing a mask with this (as I do with all face shields that I wear). Since COVID-19 is airborne, I want a variety of eye protective pieces to wear along with my face masks (including the clear face masks as well).This face goggle/shield might not be made specifically to protect against COVID-19, but I bought it as an alternative to the various face shields that I wear along with masks.
