I have at least 3 of the older version batteries. I have a larger property & am surrounded by many trees. During Fall I have to go out at least 2x a week for a good 2hrs plus to leaf blow. I do thru about 4 batteries to do task. I purchased this new plus version & am happy w it. No, it does not last longer than old version, but is alot lighter in weight thus charges in half the time the older version does which is important to me in carrying blower all around & the need to have at least 4 batteries charged to do job w/o interruption. Also feel safer being new ones state they have better cooling system so it does not overheat.
