Too soft generic garbage seems to be the common formula for most. I mean Jack Links?! That stuff is closer to a dog treat than something a person should consider a meat snack, certainly not eatable. I definitely also have a preference towards cowboy dry versus all this wet soft stuff.What makes this Oh Boy Oberto so good? Super thin cut and not chewy soft, but also not so dry it turns into dust. The thin slices mean you can down these at breakneck speed without getting a toothache. Not quite dry dusty cowboy dry, but just enough you could carry a bag off into the sunset and feel worthy. Wholesome and hardy, the way it should be. Not overly salty, not too bland. The peppered isn't really hot, but has a nice flavor with a bit more zing versus the original.
