## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this come with only one tip?**
A: Comes with two (pink and blue tip). However, this isn't anywhere near as easy to use or as powerful as a tank-based model. Stopped using ours.

**Q: Profloss after about nine months of use could not stay attached. Popped off easily. Any solution?**
A: I've had this issue. Overtime your water will leave deposits on the attachment. Unscrew it drop it in a cup of vinegar overnight and then flush it and reinstall. You'll get some extra life out of the part

**Q: Can I (is there a possibility that I) snap it on without device? Would it work by holding the connector by hand?**
A: Don't understand what you mean by "without device". Can tell you that it won't work by holding the connector in your hand up next to the faucet. Gotta take off the existing aerator, put on the attachment that comes with the water flosser, and then snap in the flosser. BTW, we have taken ours off; even with the water on full force, not much of a spray in your mouth, just a lot of dribbling into the sink and an occasional mess from the spray hitting the mirror or counter top.

**Q: Does anyone know if it works well getting out tonsil stones?**
A: No

The Perfect Solution to Water Flossing (Don't buy a Waterpik)

*by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2011*

I have a hand-held Waterpik which I initially liked using, and which was very useful in the immediate aftermath of two of my wisdom teeth being removed. After a while, however, the Waterpik simply became annoying. The design is horrible - it's obnoxiously large and poorly engineered with a battery that is too small and a really nasty jack-plug type setup for recharging, rather than a docking system. It's a nightmare for anyone who likes to travel light. It is so incredibly loud that you'll wake up your partner if they are sleeping. Worst of all, it needs for the reservoir to be re-filled at least four times during a water flossing session. Waterpik make counter based units which do have a usably-sized reservoir, but they are even larger. Panasonic make a more aesthetically pleasing hand-held unit, with quality Japanese engineering, but it still has the same basic undersized reservoir problem. So, the perfect solution is this great product. I was quite skeptical that something so cheap would work. But it is tremendous. It's tiny, convenient, comes with a little pouch and disconnects and reconnects from the tap in about a second. It comes with two tips (one pink, one blue) which can be swapped out in a second also. In use, you get full control over pressure and temperature, it's completely silent, and you never have to fill up a reservoir ever again.Installation is a cinch for all but the most intellectually challenged - it should take no more than about two minutes. For me, the adaptor didn't fit the tap threads, but a trip to Ace Hardware for a $3 thread adaptor fixed the problem. You may have to budget for a trip to the hardware shop (in terms of both time and money) to buy a thread adaptor also. Now that it's working, it's absolutely brilliant. It's akin to a miniature car wash for each of your teeth. My mouth never felt so clean save for immediately after a trip to the dental hygienist. I get a really nice tingly fresh feeling in my now amazingly healthy gums. Prior to using this product I had an issue with bleeding gums, but now this problem is gone completely. There aren't really any major downsides to the product. Initially I wasn't entirely sure about the build quality, but it's worked perfectly for the past six months, being used twice a day, every day. Were it to fail, given that it is so cheap, I'd buy another one immediately, but given my experience of using it, I think one might get several years use out of it. There isn't the pulse-pulse action of the electric units, but this doesn't bother me at all - if anything I think the pulse-pulse approach is probably engineered more to conserve water (from the undersized reservoirs) than for any therapeutic benefit. It's not something that I miss.I really can't recommend this product highly enough. And I also implore you not to buy a Waterpik.

Works great! Love having control over water temp

*by L***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2024*

This works great! I use it after every meal (I work from home so I’m home all day). I love being able to use lukewarm water. That makes a huge difference with my sensitive teeth.

    So Much More Convenient!

*by A***M on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2014*

I'm a huge fan of waterflossers in general, so once I stumbled across this tool, I had to give it a try. Here's what I found:Like other reviewers have stated, the water pressure of this flosser isn't as high as electric waterflossers. BUT it is definitely strong enough to give your teeth a very deep cleaning.Installation is pretty much a breeze. Just read the instructions and follow the steps for your particular faucet. If you have a faucet from the 90's or later you should have no trouble at all. Older faucets may require an adapter. This is flosser incredibly convenient. I never used my waterpik as much as I wanted to, due to the hassle of filling the reservoir, plugging it in, finding enough room to put it on the sink, cleaning it out after, etc. etc. etc..... This is as simple as snapping it onto the faucet, and turning on the water. And just a quirky side note, this flosser seems to fall out of my hands quite often, where my waterpik never did. I don't know if it is something with the ergonomics or the cord is a little more stiff. Naturally, when this happens, the entire bathroom becomes a shower. It's not a deal breaker or anything... Just a little quirk that I thought I'd mention. Also, the price is fantastic! I paid almost $100 for my waterflosser, which just sits under my sink unused now.
