Catherine: Full Body - Nintendo Switch - Standard Edition

2011's Catherine was an awesomely interesting game that was part puzzle game, part Persona-esque narrative exploration into the pitfalls of stagnant, long-term relationships, and the temptation to be with others that comes from that. Catherine also happened to also be one of my first forays into the Persona universe (remember, Vincent made a cameo in Person 3 Portable) and left a rather large impression on me during the 7th generation of consoles given how unique the game was. Catherine: Full Body is a refinement to the original title in the same manner that Persona 3: FES, P3P, Persona 4: Golden and Persona 5: Royal all iterated upon their original versions. Akin to those Persona titles, Full Body adds a character to the original Catherine, new additional music, revisions upon gameplay modes, new gameplay modes, and an online feature. It's a great revision to the original and definitely recommended. I do have one gripe though, in that the new animated cutscenes in the game do not appear to be as high quality, animation-wise, as the original. My understanding is that a different studio provided the new animated scenes, from what I recall reading. That said, that should be no surprise given that this release is eight years apart from the original. A much larger gap in iterations compared to Persona, which the studio responsible for Catherine also developed. I have both the PS4 and Switch versions of Full Body, while I haven't played the PS4 version (backlog for over a year) I am playing through the Switch version and its visually fidelity seems on par, if not beyond the PS3 original. Also, all of the PS4 DLC is present right out of the box for Switch. No matter the version, I very much recommend Catherine: Full Body (or the original Catherine). Great game and very unique, something utterly special in today's gaming landscape, even years after the original.

The switch port is just as good as all the other systems it's been ported too. Runs at a constant smooth 30fps. No glitches. Audio is great. Visuals are awesome. Overall its a very good port no complaints. The games story is wonderfully acted out with excellent voice acting, though the addition of Rin kind of feels forced into the story. It felt weird at times because Rins story didn't feel like it meshed enough with the other two girls, but alas it was still a very entertaining story. Gameplay may turn off some people since its a puzzle game, and to make matters worse you're under pressure with the floor below you constantly reminding you of your impending doom, which if you're not a quick thinker you may find yourself having to restart over and over possibly frustrating you to the point where you may look up a walkthrough (I wouldn't blame you). The game is very abstract with themes of religion and making you question what would you do if you were in Vincents shoes. I personally have been in a similar moral dilemma and this game really made me question myself. Overall I love this game. I would recommend to add this to your collection.

Overall really pretty game lot more difficult cubes. 🖤My option and overall review 🖤 Now listen…I’ve beat Catherine when it was on the Xbox…played through the whole game and got all the endings…The only difference between the two is literally a new character and new cutscenes. There is a funny little feature in the game where you put on the mask..ifykyk😂 in all honesty it’s a literal cut and paste of the game with a new character and new cutscenes and new endings with the new character. Though I do really like how we get to see the characters when they were younger and I definitely love the concept of adding trans people or non binary people into the mix…I still felt like they could of done more with the game! Not just use the EXACT SAME SCENES AND CUTSCENES! Ngl if you played the first game there really isn’t a point getting the second one…if your curious of Rin and want her ending feel free but in my opinion it’s not really worth it especially since it’s the same thing just a few minor differences. Overall I’d give the game ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars.

I'm loving this game, it's so fun and addicting. The block puzzles are a lot of fun, I find it enjoyable moving the blocks and figuring out how to move up. As for the story, it's so intriguing and funny, it's very good. I also love the overall aesthetic of the game, Atlus is very good with that like with Persona 5. In conclusion, the game is amazing it was definitely worth the purchase!

This game is SO MUCH better on the Switch than it was when I played it on PS3 back in the day. I’m also glad I didn’t buy this version on PS4 because this edition came with the sheep keychain and it’s so nice to have extras! The game itself is incredibly fun, can be frustrating at times though, but no game is good without a challenge. The characters are eccentric, the story’s great, and the gameplay makes for a super immersive experience, which is why this game is so great. The English dub is actually NOT cringeworthy and it’s the only reason I keep it dubbed. If you have the settings on Japanese audio with subtitles, not everything gets subtitled (which is weird), so I don’t recommend that option. I do, however recommend this game!

I had already played the Classic version of this game on Steam. I really enjoyed the gameplay and plot. This version offers more with a new major character, endings, music, cutscenes and some new minor characters. It includes all the DLC too. There's also a remix mode (new blocks used) offered along with the original mode. I beat it within two days, about 20 hours in. I didn't get all the endings yet though. The keychain is cute too. If you enjoyed the Classsic, there's no doubt you'll enjoy this version. -1 star because of price, that's it. That's the Switch tax though.

One of my favorite games of all time, and it runs beautifully on the Switch. If these physical editions are still available then you owe it to your collection to snag one, the Switch version is basically the definitive edition of this game on home consoles.

Always had this game on my radar but never bought it. Until I bought a switch 2 and all I can say that this game is extremely fun and can be quite challenging. So If you like a challenge and good/funny/interesting story then this game is for you.
