In my test I placed the sensor on a plate dinner plate which contained water and it triggered a response immediately. We use it to keep an eye on the pond temperature, and to notify if the pond level falls dangerously low. (which would imply a leak in the water circulation). Setup was fairly easy. The temp probe cable was a bit short - but that was of course fixable for a half confident hobbyist. I don't find the backend software reporting to be as useful as I'd like. But fundamentally I can recommend this, and the support team were very quick to answer my questions. Please note that the water level sensor is binary (Is there water/is there not water). The supplied sensor wasn't suitable for my needs so I replaced it with a much superior product.
