The Vegepod can also be placed on the floor, table etc **Q: Is it a type of greenhouse and can you position it anywhere in the garden also can you over winter plants** A: Yes that’s correct. The canopy transforms the Vegepod into a greenhouse but during the warmer months the mesh provides shade for the plants. You can continue to grow over the winter as the plastic retains warmth meaning the soil retains warmth. **Q: How much compost is needed to fill up and grow root veg?** A: I put 300 litres in mine at the beginning of the year which filled the pod. This week I have added another 50 litres before replanting various plants including carrots. **Q: Does this come with a plastic winter cover as well as the normal mesh protective cover?** A: Mine came with one cover, mesh.
