Review: Water Temp & Steep Time are Critical for this particular tea. - Wonderful bold malty flavor, BUT, with this particular Scottish Tea, water temp and steep time are Critical, or it will be bitter. (I found out the hard way). Thomas brand Scottish Tea is much more forgiving in regard to temperature and steep time, but THIS tea, while very good, will be bitter if you steep more than 4 minutes. 3 minutes works best for me, with water temp just before boiling (like the right coffee temp). Then it’s DELIGHTFUL! Especially for the price!

Wonderful bold malty flavor, BUT, with this particular Scottish Tea, water temp and steep time are Critical, or it will be bitter. (I found out the hard way).
