What suprised me is how large it really is, you read 24 inches tall, and for some reason the enmority of the piece does not set in until it arrives. This is not some book end or trophy size cross, it is almost a Rood proper, a large cross that will engulf you altar with its presence.The cross comes in two parts, the Cross itself, and the stand which is screwed on with bolt and ring. I recommend if you want to affixed firmly to get a wrench and tighten it.Overall, I am more than pleased with the Trinity Cross. Its filigree design looks like the Rose of Sharon and vines, rather than more Celtic designs of Celtic Crosses, and the IHS or Christogram which is an abbreivation of Christ's Name in Greek IΗΣΟΥΣ .
