The filter is suitable for use in heavily polluted environments, i.e. air that is full of diesel particulates and respirable dusts and exhaust gases like NOX that are regularly cited in the press as above legal levels. It is a combination of the Sports Hepa-Type™ filter for sub-micron particulate pollutants, with a DACC™ (activated Charcoal) layer for filtering gases and vapours and particles. The effective working life of Respro® filters depends on a number of factors, such as; the breathing rate of the user; levels of pollution; the length of time the filter is being exposed to urban traffic air; hygiene levels.
