I would definitely recommend this system (and the price is right). This system is completely oral, so will not be right for someone who wants to learn to read and write in a new language. I will definitely continue to learn using the Pimsleur Language products. Skip to number 2 on the cd and just repeat outloud. I have had to listen to it three or four times in two days, but I'm REALLY GETTING the language. It explains more than you first anticipate. Versus the other products for hundreds of dollars - I plan on giving this a valiant effort, because I'm very pleased so far. My grandparents were all off the boat, but nobody can carry the tradition of language. I want to change that. I'm going to keep repeating each section until I'm comfortable. I am more impressed by the fact I'm grasping the lessons rather than mimicking. I get what they are trying to teach. If you aren't rich like myself - give it a try. Skip to number two though! It blabs on and on about the professor and how you shouldn't write notes....blah blah blah. I am SO happy I'm learning Polish.
