Smooth-On SuperSeal & Ease Release 205 Combo Pack - 2oz Kit

I was so happy to find this little package, it was just what I needed to use before I tried my first ever mold using the smooth-on oomoo 30( see my review on that product).Worked exactly as it was supposed to. I am just so pleased that I was able to make such beautiful molds with the smooth-on products.

I thought I would try this with a small clay sculpture before making a silicone mold with Rebound 25. It sealed the porous clay with no problem. There was enough to do a 10" x 4" sculpture with more to spare. Great size for testing on small works.

Really like having this small quantity sealer and release available as a combo kit! Product works just fine. Only weird thing is that the sprayer top does not fit the bottles (threaded part is too big diameter). Fortunately, I had a few spare small spray bottles on the shelf to use just for that purpose.

Nice convenient size for that one off job.

To get it straight, both SuperSeal and Ease Release work 100% exactly as needed. They release molds from silicone from silicone and silicone from mold. SuperSeal does a better job and leaves less residue when releasing silicone from silicone. HOWEVER, the sprayers this comes with are TERRIBLE! If you intend to use these two release chemicals, then it is a must to transfer them to another bottle for spraying over your models and molds or just ditch that method all together and brush it on. The spay bottles simply do not work. They get stuck and then won't spray anymore after a few sprays. They are useless and makes me wonder how they can even include them to begin with. I ordered a full bottle from Amazon of SuperSeal to use with a spray bottle I will get at a dollar store or hardware store. Which is what I recommend anyways, since these bottles contain hardly any liquid and are not economical at all given the price. Maybe if it was half the price, it would be worth it, but absolutely not with bad spay bottles!

One word to describe this " Excellent"

I have yet to use it. I think it will be for making molds for my lost wax casting or resin epoxy project or for making a jewelry holder shaped like an ear for example. But I still struggle to understand the instructions to use it. I fear making it wrong as the bottles are so small in my hand so I was expecting more. Because it looked larger. Also there are many different types of smooth on so the one thing I suggest to customers is to make sure you shop for the exact type that you need. There is for example one that adds texture to a surface. And I believe this is mold making. Either way the people were fast shipping and I am happy. Ty
