After much consideration I decided to give it a try.....and I must say....it's one of the BEST decisions I've made for my vision health this year! I have experienced overall vision improvement along with a 90% improvement of my most recent vision concerns. I will continue my daily use of Optim-Eyes along with the added supplement Astaxanthin as an added antioxidant protective. A complete eye formula that includes astaxanthin. But they upset my stomach! *by A***R on August 23, 2013* Last year a 145 patient Italian clinical trial called CARMIS reported significantly improved vision after 2 years on patients who had macular degeneration.The formula they used was just like this one, but with 3 mg more astaxanthin. For some reason American doctors have ignored that study and continued giving the old AREDS formula which produced much weaker results. I just started taking Optim-eyes along with additional astaxanthin. I hope it works as well as the study didHere is what the CARMIS study reported,"Patients in the treated group showed stabilization of VA (visual acuity) with significantly (p=0.003) better VA scores (81.4 ± 7.2) compared to the nontreated group (76.8 ± 8.9) at 24-month follow-up. An improvement in CS (contrast sensitivity) (p=0.001) and final mean NEI VFQ-25 composite scores at 12 and 24 months higher in treated group compared to nontreated group were also shown (p<0.001)."(The p numbers show a 1/1000 probability that the result was pure chance due to the small trial)[...]Sorry!
