Just so you are aware, This cooling pad is set up for the USB cord to go out the back & plug in the back of your laptop. The cord, which store in the cooling pad when not in use, might not be long enough to run out the back of the pad & reach the side USB port, depending on your laptop, so the cooling pad might sit on the USB cord in order to use the side USB port. It will still work fine either way, but if you have a large laptop it would be best if it had an available USB port in back. **Q: My N200 stopped working and i dont know how to open it and check it. How to open it or i have replace it?** A: When mine quit working it was the switch that caused the problem. It is probably the same problem with yours. The switch on that unit is very fragile and poorly designed. I popped my switch open using a knife and the wires had broken off right at the soldering point. I tried to fix it by striping the wires and re-soldering them but the wires are so cheap and delicate that they just kept breaking off. The problem with the design it that they should have used a bigger gauge wire and thus the things wouldn't break as easily or secured the wires better so there was no stress on them. I hope this reply helps but unfortunately I don't see much hope in you fixing your unit, its just a very poorly designed switch. I have been searching for a new type but so far I haven't found one that I like. I have read reviews until my eyes about popped out. Best wishes and good luck. I plan on getting it soon so I hope it doesn't stink as bad as the n200. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Lapdesk *by K***N on June 23, 2012* I've had this lapdesk for a few months now and love it.The size is good for a small to medium sized laptop, 14-15 inch.The fan does an excellent job of preventing the air flow to the bottom of the laptop from stopping or becomming stagnant.On my Alienware M14X I can prop the fron of the laptop on the front lip of the lapdesk (some might use it as a sill to corral the laptop towards the back of the lapdesk, but I don't) and the back on the rubber pads. This arrangement allows good airflow over the majority of the bottom of the laptop, including the bottom front.Running the lapdesk's fan on low is surprisingly quiet, on high it is audable, but not disturbing, and quieter than my M14X's laptop fan is on high.In usage, having the lapdesk's fan on low is enough air movement for the M14X laptop fan to not need to spin up for regular computer tasks, and when playing games the fan on high keeps the bottom of the laptop from becomming overly hot.As to the fan wearing out, it has not worn out on mine but if it did, it wouldn't be too big a deal, far cheaper to replace the lapdesk than the fan in the laptop. My mother-in-law has been using this lapdesk lately with her 15 inch Dell laptop while our kitchen is being demolished, this eliminates the need for her laptop's fan to run, which keeps the demolition dust out of her laptop, a handy arrangement.The lapdesk is comfortable on the lap, and with the fan running on high it provides a small amount of cooling for your lap too.When this lapdesk wears out I'll be replacing it with a new one of the same model, it's well worth the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Of the three I've tried, the most worthy of being called a cooling pad *by C***K on September 8, 2013* My 2008-era MacBook Pro gets hot, especially when I recharge it. So I have bought and tried 3 different cooling pads over the years. This is by far the quietest and most effective of the three. With the two-speed fan on low, the LogiTech N200 is quieter than a whisper--and it cools my MBP down. The other pads I tried could keep it from getting too warm, but this one actually makes it cool to the touch. That's right--with this on and your laptop charging, the laptop will become cooler than when you plugged in the charger. The higher fan speed is good to have when I've done something stupid like use the MBP with it resting on a bed or other surface that blocks the MBP's cooling vents. Even when my MBP gets that hot--and it is painfully hot--it will cool down quickly as soon as I remember to plug the cooling pad in. The higher fan speed does make noticeable noise--but even that is less noise than was made by the cooling pad I finally decided to replace with this one. And my MBP will not heat up when it's resting on this pad, even with the fan off and the MBP charging. My 15-inch MBP sits stably on this pad. It didn't on the others. And the padded base makes it possible for me to use my laptop in my lap--comfortably. However, I have had this product for months now, and it is working fine. I run my computer almost all day, along with the fan, and it has not broken down. Granted, I have a medium sized laptop that can be cooled at the low setting. For larger computers or gamers with serious equipment that heats up fasts to temperatures well above normal, this cooling probably isn't the most efficient. Nevertheless, for people like myself, this is a great cooling pad, so long as your willing to work with it. The shape is odd, which means you have to move your computer around on it to see what works best to hit your hot spots. I chose to turn the pad sideways and prop one side of my computer up with a thin book, so that the air flow runs vertical throughout the entire middle of my laptop's underside.
