This tool works wonderfully for removing the bearing carrier oil seal and other tasks where a bearing puller is needed. This tool is very well-built and of high-quality. I bought this with the intention of owning it for life, a tool that will not be useless after a few maintenances. This tool is exactly that one that will last a long long time and gets the nod done with ease.

Removes Crusty Bearing Carrier
I used this to remove an upper bearing carrier on a Yamaha F250. It was so eaten up with corrosion I had to replace the part. But these got that crusty part off with 3 slaps. Good product.

Marine tech is the key to success!
Before removing the upper bearing carrier, you need to pressure test the lower unit while empty of oil to a positive 10 psi for 10 seconds. The 2 stacked seals are easy to remove but harder to install. If they lip up while installing, they are toast and you need another.
