(I have several other pans, including griddle, steel and cast iron, that all work fine on my hob.) The problem is probably a combination of the grid-lines being too thin and the base insulating too much. That may work on gas or induction, but on a ceramic electric hob the pan is unusable. The grid pattern also makes it more difficult to clean than my classic straight-lines griddle pan. I would give one star, but I really like the detachable handle.
