I have an old craftsman tiller with original tires that would leak down within minutes. Would have replaced the tires and tubes, but after 30 years, the rims had welded themselves to the axles. I elevated the tires off the ground and followed the directions, worked great and saved me the cost of tires and tubes, not to mention the labor of pulling the rims. Garden now tilled and planted

I live on a farm, and there are places you mow, like fence rows, thickets, and near woods, where things like thorns and such will be driven over. Earlier in the year, I had flattened both front tires on my riding mower. I had both patched at the shop in town, but I wasn't happy with the cost. One of them went flat again. I looked for an alternative and found this. I put it in the tires and haven't lost any time to flat tires since, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than paying someone else to deal with it. 5 star recommended. P.S. This is NOT "fix a flat," which includes air in the can. Very easy install: take out the valve stem, squeeze this stuff into the tire, replace the stem, and air up. What's great about the description is, when you puncture it again, the stuff's in there and instantly seals the new hole. Good up to two years, according to the manufacturer. That's what I needed.

I will speak from a history of using this for flat tires on a car. This is also sold as a kit with a portable compressor, that you plug into a cigarette lighter. If you have a portable compressor, and a bottle of this green slime, you can fix a flat tire in 10 minutes (if its just a minor issue, such as a nail you ran over or some other slow leak). Obviously for major tire damage this is not going to fix it. If you do not have a way to re-inflate your tire, this green slime will be usesless, so get the kit that comes with a portable compressor, or buy one separately to keep in your car. I have used this slime + a compressor 3 times over the years to fix flats - and believe me.... this is way easier than dragging your spare out of the trunk and changing a tire. You take the cap off the green slime, use it to remove the core from the valve stem on the wheel (the little brass pin inside the valve stem, that pushes in to open the air valve on the tire). This is VERY easy to take out so don't be intimidated, it takes about 10 seconds, a few turns and its out. Carefully put the valve core aside as you will need to put it back in shortly. Taking out the valve core will let all the air out of the tire if any is any remaining. Then you take the small hose attached to the bottle of slime, push it onto the valve stem, and squeeze the entire bottle into the tire. Then you screw the valve core back in, attach an air compressor, and the tire will re-inflate and you are good to go. You need to drive around a bit right after you re-inflate the tire, so the slime properly settles within the tire. Every time I have used this for flat tires, it not only fixed the tire at the roadside, but the fix was permanant and I did not even need to get a new tire or get it repaired. All three tires I have used this for, lasted out their useful life after the repair. Anyway, based on my experience I highly recommend you have this and a portable compressor in your trunk at all times. Two bottles would be better, in case you ever end up with more than one flat. One never knows. Trust me, the first time you actually get a flat you will be SOOO glad you have this.

I have used it for years. With boys and bikes in the country, goat head thorns are a kids worst nightmare. I pulled 32 goatherds from my sons tire and tube, pit the recommended slime in and it hasn’t leaked a single oz of air! My only negative review for it is that the valve remover in the plastic cap will only last so long. I didn’t get enough slime in one of the tires, and due to slime being soooo effective, it locked the threads of the valve. The plastic remover tool on the cap broke so I had to get a proper tool. NOT a big deal at all.

I wish I had read more reviews before I installed this product and I'll tell you a couple of secrets that might help you. It might make the difference between a success or a fail. The first important thing you need to know is the difference between a "valve stem" and a "valve stem core". The valve stem core is one part of the valve stem. It is very small, It is about 3/4" (19mm) in length and has a diameter of 5/16" (4mm). It inserts into the center of the valve stem and has two slots that allows a tool to screw into the stem. You don't need the tool for this project because the cap on this product serves as that tool. But if you own that tool, I suggest to use it instead of the product cap which is plastic whereas a vale stem core tool is made of metal. When you are reading the reviews for this product, people will say "I removed the valve stem". That is not necessarily what they mean. Generally what they mean is "I removed the valve stem core". I do not want to undermine anyone here because with some tires you can literally remove the valve stem and replace it with a new one. However, that is not the case for example with a bicycle tire that has a tube, because in that case the valve stem is part of and molded to the tube. I used this product on a bicycle with two "off road" tires each with a tube with a molded stem. Both tires would only hold air for less than one day and I can't say where the leaks were, but ever since my stepson rode the bike when the tires were completely flat did I have that problem. Previously I used a product called "Fix-a-Flat" on both tires and here is where it gets more complicated and the secrets come into play. If you have previously used Fix-a-Flat on your tire, I suggest NOT to use Slime. Replace the tube because your valve will most likely be gunked up. But here is a secret ... put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol into the valve stem before you remove the valve stem core. Slowly remove the core. As you remove the core the alcohol will drizzle into the stem and possibly clear the gunk. After you remove the core, put a few more drops into the stem. One of two things will happen: A] The alcohol will clear the gunk and allow the Slime to go into the tube. You are in luck. B] You are unlucky and the Slime will not flow into the tire tube no matter how hard you try. On my front tire, I was unlucky. This is not the fault of the Slime product, it was my fault. On the back tire, I was lucky and was able to squeeze in about 4 ounces of Slime. Now for the next secret. After you inject the Slime into your tire tube, clean the valve stem with alcohol and a cotton swab (q-tip) and then insert either the old valve stem core or a new one. I inserted a new core, filled the tire up with air and I could hear air leaking from the stem. This was telling me that I did not tighten the core up enough. I attempted to tighten up the core some more but the valve stem was trying to rotate on me so I got a pair of pliers to hold the stem in place while I tightened the core with my tool. I tightened it too much and broke the valve stem. Fail. That's your next secret ... do not over tighten the core. Again, this is no fault of the Slime product, but me being ignorant. I ended up replacing both tires and tubes which cost me about $70 which is more than I paid for the bicycle, but now it's a really nice ride and I have it locked away in the basement so my stepson can never use it again. I cannot speak for the product directly, I feel like it's a good thing, but I hope my information helps you.

This product is unbelievable. I used it on my Rad Rover flat tire and it held up for quite some time. I used it twice. It fixed both flat tires on my fat tire bike. Highly recommend this product. It’s great.

Does not work. Had a most tiny puncture of 1mm or less, causes the tyre to slowly go flat , can see green fluid leaking from it but simply not sealing it. Disappointed
