For myself, the cover is too thin - and while leather, doesn't feel substantial enough. It needs to be kept in the box, I imagine. I was sad to note that the description did not specify that it was red for the words of our Lord, as my mother doesn't like that particularly and I would not have bought it, but at least the red was a darker wine colour and not bright. My mother was slightly confused by the centre-column references, which are not all level with (or close to) the scripture being referenced ... having to hunt through the entire column of tiny print letters for the right reference is tedious (and hard, for people buying a large print bible because they are losing their sight) and somewhat unnecessary given the great swathes of space in the centre-column on most pages - I am not sure what Zondervan were thinking when they designed it so). The paper is excellent quality however, and the words are the matchless Word of God giving light in the darkness, so we're keeping it.You get what you pay for, and the quality for price was pretty good at under £20. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by H***E on Reviewed in Canada on 10 September 2017* very excellent bible ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The quality of the bible for the price was amazing in my opinion *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on 4 August 2016* I recently bought a Zondervan bible at a local bookstore. The quality of the bible for the price was amazing in my opinion. The binding was sewn. The print was very dark and easy for a person with vision problems to read. My son liked it too but he really wanted the thumb index which the bookstore did not have. I found the same bible on Amazon with the thumb index. First the bible was packaged in a bubble wrap manila envelope. The informational cover that comes on the bible was torn and damaged with a large bend down the front. The leather on the front of the bible had a crease on it where the bend was. Though the bible was still acceptable it could have been packaged better. I was disappointed to find that this bible was glued and not sewn like the other one was. The bonded leather feels nice to the touch. It feels good in the hand not too big. The paper is nice there is minimal ghosting of the text.
