I have to have the screws almost at the end of their threads to get any kind of intonation. The low E and A string springs are shorter than the others and are made obsolete by having to have the saddles so far forward. On the plus side it does have a good weight. Strangely enough I found extra long saddle screws for this model of bridge made by Gotoh online. Almost as if the know they screwed up the design of this product. The extra long screws don't come with any springs though. Thank you **Q: Will it work to replace an American vintage bridge?** A: It was a perfect fit replacement for my 2011 American Telecaster 60th Anniversary edition. Holes lined up perfectly, so no drilling. And I haven't noticed any tone differences that some had suggested might happen... and gone is all the string sliding on the barrels. What did help tone in order of impact was putting in Jason Lollar pickups, new pots, and a bone nut.
